This piece holds a special place in my heart. Inspired by a photograph my Mum sent after Kade and I announced our engagement, it captures two kookaburras perched together, a small moment of joy and connection that became a treasured memory.
My Mumma bear — my biggest supporter and #1 customer — is now in heaven, and this artwork carries her spirit with it. When a friend asked to have a kookaburra on their wall, I hesitated to part with her, secretly loving this one too much. But sometimes, love grows when shared, and I know I can always paint another.
