ABOUT CLARE

I grew up as the youngest of 7 kids in a wild, wonderful, and very TV-limited household – which meant imagination was my playground. I was that kid who made mud pies, painted with sticks, and daydreamed with the fairies. It’s no surprise I ended up in the arts.

I earned a Fashion Design scholarship straight out of school and launched a successful fashion label with my sister. We won awards, walked runways, and lived the designer dream. But everything changed when I became a mum – the best, most challenging, most grounding role of my life.

Then came the big pivot: I found myself navigating a painful divorce, walking away from Hotel businesses I’d helped build, and facing a blank canvas – literally and figuratively. I leaned into what had always been my constant: creativity. I picked up the paintbrush again.

Now, I create bold, abstract works that tell stories – of colour, of healing, of reinvention. My art is bright because I choose joy, even when it’s hard. It’s raw and expressive because life is messy. It’s full of movement and energy, because so am I.

I believe in diving headfirst into whatever lights you up – say yes, figure it out later. That’s how I’ve lived my life, and how I built this chapter too. I paint because it fills my cup. I share it because maybe, just maybe, it’ll fill yours too.

INSPIRATION

Bold, vibrant, and unapologetically joyful — my art blends abstract shapes, colourful chaos, and textured layers to create pieces that pulse with energy. Using a playful mix of acrylics, watercolours, oil sticks, inks, and impasto, I throw colour and texture onto the canvas like confetti, crafting modern artworks that celebrate movement, mood, and happy accidents.

I don’t do beige. I do BOLD. Vibrant palettes, expressive shapes, and happy chaos are my love language.

Inspired by movement, mood, and a healthy dose of rebellion against minimalism.

I’m a creator fuelled by colour, texture, and the joyful chaos of mixed media.  Some say you’re not a ‘proper’ artist unless you paint with oil paint. Oil paint? Nah—it’s beautiful stuff, but the drying time? Way too slow. Too much waiting, not enough painting! I prefer to keep the creativity flowing fast and vibrant with quicker-drying mediums that let me dive right back in.

From flamboyant flamingos to sassy Kookaburras and curious creatures, I paint animals with attitude and abstracts where colour runs wild with untamed imagination.

Inspired by movement, mood, and the thrill of happy accidents, I believe art should be a celebration—not something that whispers quietly from the walls. Each piece is a joyful explosion of colour and form, designed to brighten spaces and spark smiles.
