Perched proudly above the shoreline of Terrigal, ‘Koko the Kookaburra’ surveys the rolling coastline with a calm, knowing gaze. The ocean stretches endlessly behind, painted in soft, flowing washes of aqua and deep sea blue, melting gently into the sandy curves of the beach below.

Rendered in delicate watercolour, Koko’s feathers bloom in layered tones—warm earthy browns, creamy whites, and subtle hints of golden sunlit highlights. The brushwork is loose and expressive, allowing the pigment to pool and feather naturally, echoing the organic beauty of the coastal landscape.

Terrigal holds a special in my heart as i have holidayed here ever since i was born 42 years ago. I have fond memories of beautiful memories beachside with my big family. Terrigal memories continue with the next generation of my munchkins enjoying lazy beachside days, surfing, fishing and shell collecting.
