GLIDE
To ‘Glide’ is to move with ease — to softly breeze and soar into something new. This piece reflects not only my transition into the world of painting, but the quiet, instinctive way creativity has always lived within me.
There is a deeper layer woven through this work — a gentle nod to motherhood. Much like art, motherhood is a journey you don’t force, but grow into. It asks you to trust your instincts, to surrender, and to move with both strength and softness. Glide captures that same feeling — the natural evolution into becoming, whether as an artist, a mother, or both.
It is also a tribute to the women who shape us — the mothers who encourage, support, and believe in us long before we believe in ourselves. Their love becomes the foundation from which we rise, explore, and ultimately, glide into who we are meant to be.
Painted on canvas with acrylic paint, impasto, and translucent mediums, layered with metallic gold gilding accents to catch the light. Shadowbox framed in natural oak and finished with a resin glaze.
