Meet Bluey the Cockatoo. Bluey doesn’t perch politely — he explodes. A riot of wild feathers and electric motion, Bluey bursts across the canvas in splashes, spots and dancing dots. Cobalt collides with citrus. Indigo hums against flashes of neon pink and acid yellow. The paint feels flung rather than placed, alive rather than applied. This is not a tidy portrait of a cockatoo — it is an abstract interpretation of spirit. His crest fractures into rhythmic marks and playful polka-dots, radiating outward like a firework mid-celebration. The familiar curve of beak and tilt of head emerge through layered colour fields, half-hidden, half-revealed — inviting the viewer to look twice. In this work, the cockatoo becomes pure energy — joyful, loud, curious and a little bit rebellious. He embodies that untamed creativity that refuses to sit still.
